Second and third places at the Management Case Study Competition of Pécs!

The Department of Economics and Business Administration in Hungarian Language of the Babeș-Bolyai University and GTK Business Consulting Club was represented by two teams at the Management Case Study Competition of Pécs in Hungary, achieving excellent 2nd and 3rd places.

The second place was awarded to the Alpha Consult team, whose members are Zsolt – Tamás Daczó (Management, 3rd year), Mária Dénes (Marketing, 3rd year), Gellért Forró (Finance and Banking, 2nd year) and György Vargyasi (Finance and Banking, 3rd year).

In 3rd place was the Omega Consulting team, which included Dániel Both (Management, 2nd year), András Kozma Vaida (Management, 3rd year), Tamás Vitos (Business Information Systems, 3rd year) and Tamás Zoványi (Finance and Banking, 2nd year).

After the qualifying round of the case study competition organized by the Janus Pannonius School of Economics, 12 teams advanced to the final round. The case study of the competition was ensured by MB BAU, a construction company, for which the teams had to propose a growth and survival strategy. The teams had 33 hours to solve the case and were then divided into four semi-final groups, with the four best teams advancing to the final. Both teams progressed through the first round and earned second and third prizes for their strategic solutions after advancing to the final.

The team was coordinated by university professors Dr. Györfy Lehel-Zoltán, Dr. Szász Levente and Dr. Rácz Béla-Gergely.
