Second place at the KPMG case study competition

The KICC (KPMG International Case Competition) is an international case study competition, where each participating country is represented by one team. In 2014 the KPMG Romania organized the national stage of the competition for the first time. The GTK-Business Consulting Club was represented by team Prometheus with members Krisztina Ábrahám, Csilla Ábrán, Renáta Czirják and Hunor Német, who did not qualify for the international stage, but earned an excellent 2nd place in the national final.
The Romanian team participating in the global final was selected in four steps. In the first stage, the teams had to create a video in which they explain how they would change the world with 10 000 euro. In the regional finals the participating 12 teams had 45 minutes to solve a case study. The team representing the GTK – Business Consulting Club completed successfully these tasks and qualified for the national final which was organized in Bucharest on 19-21 Feb, 2014. After two days of case study training the 7 teams had 3 hours to develop a marketing strategy for Samsung. Their solutions were reviewed by the heads of KPMG Romania.
Team Prometheus was one of the two teams which presented their solution in the final of the national stage of the competition and was awarded with an excellent second place.
