Special prize at the “Susánszky János” Case Study Competition
The 6th edition of the “Susánszky János” Case Study Solving Competition took place on September 29th-30th, 2016, organized by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Miskolc. Five teams representing Hungarian universities and one team representing the Babeş-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca has participated on this competition. Team Azúr from Cluj-Napoca was formed by Deák Levente (3rd year, BSc), Gergely Andrea (2nd year, BSc), Norbert Kiss (2nd year, BSc) and Szabó László (1st year MSc), all of them being members of the GTK – Business Consulting Club. The team received the special prize of the competition.
During the competition, the teams had to develop a performance measurement system tailored to the water supply industry. Each team had 10 hours to develop its strategy, which was followed on the next day by the presentation of the solutions in front of a professional jury. At the end of the competition the jury decided that the team from University of Miskolc receives first place, followed by the teams representing the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the Corvinus University of Budapest. After the ceremony all participants were invited to a closing reception where they had the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences with each other.
