Tamás Vitos active member took part in the Management Shadowing programme

On 13 January, our active member, Tamás Vitos participated in the management shadowing programme at East Cargolog as the “shadow” of Attila Pásztor.

Tamás’ experience report can be read below:

„On January 13, 2023, I participated in the management shadowing program, within the framework of which I was able to follow the working day of Attila Pásztor, who is the head of the East Cargolog transport company.

Our day started at 9 a.m., when I listened to a presentation about the company. I have learnt that Cargolog is a subsidiary of East Grain, so in order to see the entire network, it was necessary for me to understand the activities of the entire group. Then, for the rest of the day, I got a complete picture of how a transport company operates. I participated in two meetings where, together with the drivers, the company’s employees discussed which car should go with the load, where and when in such a way that it would be the best for the company. I got a comprehensive picture of the administrative responsibilities of both the company and the drivers themselves. Finally, at the end of the day, I was also lucky enough to witness how the monthly closure of finances in such a company is carried out.

Overall, it was a very useful and instructive experience for me and I have learnt about how important teamwork and continuous communication are in a logistics company.
