The first edition of the GTK All-Stars case study competition

On the 7th of June 2014 the GTK All-Stars case study competition was held for the first time in the life of GTK – Business Consulting Club, where the alumni members of the organization, former successful case study team members, had the chance to relive the joy of participating on a case study competition. Four “legendary” teams took part on the event, while the jury was composed of the current members of GTK – Business Consulting Club.

The four participating teams were:

• Sultans of Swing: Barok István, Laczkó Dénes, Vincze Tamás
• One: Dorner Boglárka-Tamara, Farkas Csongor, Szőcs Kinga-Beáta
• A Team: Kristály Csaba, Major Tamás, Rácz Béla-Gergely, Székely Krisztián
• Vén Kakasok: Balogh Szilamér, Héjja Szabolcs, Nagy Gábor, Nagy István, Német Attila, Szabó András

The teams had four hours at their disposal to solve the case and prepare a short presentation. The case presented the processes and problems of a farm. The difficulty of the case was increased by the organisers by giving the task to the teams to integrate in their solutions the following items: one of the slides of the automotive industry analysis, the “what we are going to talk about” cliché, the “Jäger with orange fresh” expression, and one of the coordinators name, Györfy Lehel. Diary Show, international expansion, programs covering all market segments and Adventure parking were all part of the innovative solutions delivered.

The participating teams had to present their solutions in front of a jury, composed of the current members of GTK – Business Consulting Club: Demeter Zselyke, Kiss Alpár, Albert Gáspár, Ábrán Csilla, Székely Rita, Fehér Attila, Kerekes Zsuzsa, Fekete Réka, Guttmann Csongor and Kovács Anita. The winner of the first GTK All-Stars competition was the Vén Kakasok team, who in the middle of the last decade have created the tradition of successful participations in case study competitions.
