Third Place at the International Case Competition in Mexico!
Our students have achieved another outstanding result on the international stage, securing third place at the Business and Management Case Competition (BMCC) held in Guadalajara, Mexico. With two group victories across the three qualifying rounds, our team successfully advanced to the grand final, where they delivered an excellent performance and claimed a well-deserved place on the podium.
The prestigious international competition, held from October 25 to 30, 2026, was hosted by Universidad Panamericana. Following a preliminary selection process, teams representing 12 universities from three continents earned the opportunity to compete, demonstrating their knowledge, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Throughout the competition, participants faced three challenging qualifying rounds, each focusing on business problems from different industries.
In the first round, lasting six hours, teams were tasked with developing a growth strategy for a Mexican healthcare institution. Our students successfully tackled the challenge, finishing first in their group ahead of teams from two Canadian universities.
In the second, five-hour round, participants were required to design a North American market entry strategy for a Mexican company specializing in the production and distribution of fresh fruit. The proposed solutions were presented to a panel of judges consisting of company executives and local business professionals. In this round, our team secured third place in their division.
The third and most demanding qualifying round challenged participants to develop, within 16 hours, a strategy to reverse the declining performance of a kitchen storage products manufacturer in the Brazilian market. Our students once again demonstrated exceptional preparation and strategic thinking, securing their second group victory and earning a place in the competition’s grand final.
In the final round, teams representing four universities competed for the top positions. Our students delivered another impressive performance, ultimately securing third place overall.
