Thoughts about the 25th Tusványos

When stories become history. That was the motto of the 25th edition of Bálványos Summer School and Student Camp, where the GTK – Business Consulting Club was present too, at the Penge Court.

Our first guest was Christopher Ball, professor of Quinnipiac University, from Connecticut, who gave us an interactive presentation titled “Business Advice from an American Perspective”.

During his presentation, professor Ball gave us some important pieces of advice which can ease the first steps in initiating a new business.By talking about his personal experiences, he pointed out some differences between the business life in America, Hungary and Transilvania. Being aware of these differences, and handling them in the right way could represent an important factor of managing business successfully.

The second guest of our program, on the 25th of July, was Mr Csaba Mészáros, general manager of Evopro Holding, who held a lecture about “20 years: from the Camp in Zabola to the New York Stock Market”. Mr Mészáros showed us important elements in how to make a business successful. In his presentation he made a comparison between organizing a Student camp, and leading a multinational company. In his opinion, hard work and improvisational skills are essential for achieving success.

Our second guest on Friday, Mr. Lenard Horgos, associate of M27 Absolvo Consulting Company, held a speech about starting a new venture. Having the title “Successful creation of new firms and financing possibilities in the initial stage”, his presentation pointed out some basic rules and directions that are useful for anybody who decides to join the road towards a successful business. Starting with the most common mistakes, he described the functioning of a company, giving details which can lead us to achieving business success.
