Time management training for first-year GTK students
On 8 November, GTK students participated in a time management training held by Dr Béla-Gergely Rácz, one of the GTK coordinators. During the training, students not only learned about effective time management, but also about setting long-term goals.
The students were first given advice on how to manage their time well, and then each one was given a worksheet to work on. They used it to set their short and long-term goals, personal and professional, and then learned about the S. Covey matrix. The matrix is well known in the business world, where it is used in everyday life, and once the students had familiarised themselves with it, they prioritised their goals.
Then, our junior members had to decide how well they could manage these goals. They also looked at the links between the short and long-term goals and how they interact. Finally, the GTK members were able to find out which activities are taking up valuable time without their noticing. Thanks to the training, the junior members have understood how to better manage their time.
Many thanks to Béla Rácz for this useful workshop!
