Together with Black Silo Commodity Consulting, we organized the first internal case study solving session of the semester!
On Thursday, 13th of November, we held our first internal case study presentation of the year. Students had two weeks to work on the case, which examined the possibilities for expansion in Romania by Black Silo Commodity Consulting, an Irish-based company operating in the agricultural industry.
Five teams of first- and second-year students presented their solutions in English to a four-member jury consisting of company representatives: Dr. Rory Deverell (CEO), Anna Bugár, Kata Kovács, and György Vargyasi, our alumni members.
The teams developed comprehensive proposals on how Black Silo could reach and retain Romanian farmers and turn them into loyal customers. In their presentations, they developed various online and offline marketing strategies, and after the presentations, they answered the jury’s questions in a 10-minute Q&A session.
After the presentations, the jury gave a detailed evaluation, highlighting the most useful ideas that could play a role in the company’s future marketing strategy.
We would like to thank Black Silo Commodity Consulting for this meaningful and very useful collaboration, and the jury members for their valuable, practice-oriented feedback, as well as for allowing our members to gain insight into the company’s operations!
