Victory at the Case Study Competition in Pécs, 2010
Between the 24th and the 26th of October 2010 the University of Pécs organized the 3rdDr. Papp László Case Study Competition in Accounting. The 21 four-member teams came from 13 different universities form Hungary and the neighbouring countries.
The teams had 24 hours to solve the case of the „Szemem Fénye” Foundation, whose purpose is helping the families of incurably sick children, be it financially or spiritually. The assignments of the case study were solely linked to the financial functioning of the foundation.
BCC members István Barok, Réka Birton, Dénes Laczkó and Tamás Vincze (forming the Sultans of Swing team) won an outstanding first prize, while two other members – Csongor Farkas and Kinga Beáta Szőcs – also competed, forming together with Krisztina Both and Csenge Zatykó the MGMT team, runner-up in its own group.
