Second place and special prize at Solver’s Cup international case study competition

The GTK students reached second place ant the special prize at the Solver’s Cup international case study competition in Budapest.
Between the 8 th and 11 th of August 2019, with the organization of the Case Solvers from Budapest, took place the Solvers Cup international case competition, where the Babeș-Bolyai University and GTK was represented by Borsos András (Finance and Banking, 2nd year), Farkas-
Hegyi Beatrix (Management, 1st year), Szép Hunor (Finance and Banking, 1st year) and Tiboldi Dorka (Business Information Systems, 1st year).
The competition consisted of two cases for two different organizations. The teams had four hours to plan a regional expansion for DHL and they had ten hours to find a solution to the problems of the organization named “Amigos for children”. The organizers awarded the two cases separately. Our team in the four hour case ended on the fourth place, in the ten hour case the team ended on the second place and also won the most feasible solution award. Congratulations for the team!
