14th Transylvanian Scientific Student’s Conference

The Association of Hungarian Students in Cluj-Napoca (KMDSZ) organized the 14thedition of the Transylvanian Scientific Student’s Conference between the 13th and the 15th of May 2011. Numerous BCC members participated, obtaining good result in the categories of Marketing-Management and Finance

The BCC members presented following scientific papers:

·         Boglárka-Tamara Dorner: Application of real options decisions in the product life-cycle model.

·         Attila Erdély: Strategic decision points in the Romanian beef industry.

·         Csongor Farkas: Effect of strategic decisions on company value.

·         Tamás Major: From business idea to enterprise. The business plan for developing a sports-centre.

·         Kinga Szőcs: Evaluation of project management activities. Case study of the Félsziget/Peninsula Festival.

 

Members Attila Erdély and Balázs Furdek also represented the Economic Research Club with following papers:

·         Henrietta Dóczi, Attila Erdély, Éva Felfalusi, Renáta Knoch, Enikő Kinga Patka: Rating systems in Romanian Commercial Banks

·         Dalma-Zsuzsa Farkas, Balázs Furdek, Noémi Marton, Tímea Rácz: Empirical Analysis of bankruptcy-probability in the case of Romanian Stock-Companies.

 

In the Marketing-Management category Tamás Major won first prize, Boglárka-Tamara Dorner second prize, while Attila Erdély received a diploma of mention. As co-authors in the Finances category Attila Erdély ranked third, while Balázs Furdek received a diploma of mention. Due to these results, all mentioned above are qualified for the 31st edition of the National Scientific Student’s Conference, which is to be organized in two years.
