Communication training series with dr. Magor Kádár

During the first semester, GTK students participated in a series of communication training that throughout the years has become a tradition.

On 18th of October Kádár Magor held this year’s first workshop, which was about communication techniques. Despite the fact, that it was organised online, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. In the beginning of the workshop, participants had to give a memorable  introduction about themselves. After the introduction part, the participants had to write down the name of the person whose introduction was the most memorable. After that, Magor gave the participants useful tips about introductions: such as including a story when introducing yourself. The last part of the workshop was about problems, which occur during a presentation. In groups, participants discussed the following issues: stress, how to structure a presentation and also, paralingvistical problems.

On 25th October 2021, the next part of the GTK student communication training series took place. This time the students learned about the pitch, which is a great business and professional introduction. They had to work in groups, and then perform the perfect pitches for 4 types of audience. The 4 teams did their work separately for the teachers, students, media and finally for the sponsors.

On 7th of November took place the next session of the GTK Communication Series. This time, each student had to present a pitch written by them to the group and then they discussed it together with the others. Everyone has prepared three pitches for three different audiences and presented the one which got the most votes.

On 14th December, the students of the GTK Business Consulting Club had the opportunity to take part in the last, yet the first live communication training of the semester, led by Kádár Magor. During this special occasion, the students were not only got to know each other better, but they also learned different techniques of storytelling and have analyzed two world-famous PR films to deepen their knowledge. The students, divided in groups of four, had to look for good storytelling techniques by watching the PR films of Johnnie Walker and Volkswagen, which later they presented together at the end of the training. The three-hour session was not only fun, but also very useful for the students as what they learned could be incorporated into industry analyzes and competition presentations.

We would like to thank Magor Kádár for the interactive and instructive trainings!
