The GTK team made it to the finals of the International Business Simulation Competition organized by NIBS

Competing with more than 30 university teams, the GTK team made it to the finals of the International Business Simulation Competition organized by NIBS.

The International Business Simulation Competition organized by NIBS (Network of International Business Schools) was organized virtually between November 9th, 2021. – December 10th, 2021., where BBU was represented by a GTK four-member team: Apetroae Lucas-Matteo (Business Information Systems 3rd year), Krisztina Bokor-Tóth (Management 2nd year), Fuccaro Kriszta (Management 3rd year), Kovács Alpár-Botond (Management 3rd year). The competition was special and instructive in several ways: they had the opportunity to simulate the leadership of a virtual technological company, which is occupying with the manufacturing of phones, tablets and laptops. The competition consisted of three rounds of qualifiers, semi-finals and a final, each round was built from 4 decision-making periods. A total of 30 teams participated in the tournament, of which 10 teams had the opportunity to compete in the finals. The GTK team took part in the final, where the performance index was essential including several indicators: cumulative profit, customer satisfaction index and average employee satisfaction index. The simulation was a great opportunity to practice the theoretical knowledge in the role of a manager. The attractiveness of the competition is that the podium teams had the opportunity to choose a civil society organization to offer a percentage of the prize.
