Third place and special prize at the National Controlling Case Competition
The TOP 7 finals of the National Controlling Case Competition organized by the Budapest Business School ended with our students placing third and winning the Ernst&Young Hungary – „Better question” special prize. In the finals, our team, Cryptex, whose members are Kinga-Réka Ábrán (Financial Corporate Management MSc, 1st year), Alpár-Botond Kovács (Financial Corporate Management MSc, 1st year), Magor-Tamás Martonos (Financial Corporate Management MSc, 1st year), and Dóra Szőke (Management, 3rd year), achieved this result.
The Budapest Business School (BGE) and the Lámfalussy Sándor Business Club organized the eleventh edition of the National Controlling Case Competition between 11 November and 9 December.
This year’s case study was provided by Lime .The teams had 10 days to develop strategic steps to optimize the company’s operations financially and logistically. During the development of the short-term strategy, the teams had to keep in mind the company’s main goal to successfully close an EBITDA-positive year.
In addition to the podium finish, the team representing our university also won the “Better question” special award presented by Ernst&Young Hungary.
