We organized the second GTK Semester Closing Day of the 2025–2026 academic year in partnership with East Grain!

In collaboration with East Grain, based in Cluj-Napoca, we organized the GTK Closing Day of the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. As part of the event, our active members presented their industry analysis entitled “Cultivating Growth – Navigating the CEE Agribusiness Landscape”.

On May 29, 2026, GTK’s traditional Semester Closing Day took place. The first part of the event featured the presentation of the industry analysis, the semester activity report, and the alumni induction ceremony. In the evening, members, coordinators, alumni, supporters, and partners gathered for a dinner, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and informal discussions.

During the event, GTK’s junior members presented the results of their semester-long project conducted under the guidance of four senior members. The project focused on analyzing the agribusiness industry. Throughout their research, the students examined key trends and developments across Central and Eastern Europe, analyzed the role of technology within the sector, identified major market players, and highlighted industry best practices. In addition, they formulated recommendations for East Grain in response to the questions and challenges identified during their analysis.

Following the presentation, the audience engaged with the students through a Q&A session, asking questions about both the presentation and the findings of the analysis. Our students provided detailed answers in English, demonstrating both their subject-matter expertise and communication skills.

The event concluded with a semester activity report delivered by Miklós Kerezsi, founder of the Antal Zsolt Foundation. In his presentation, he highlighted the professional and extracurricular programs organized throughout the semester, the outstanding competition results achieved by our members, and expressed gratitude to our supporters for their contribution to the successful operation of the organization.

The alumni induction ceremony followed, during which students who had successfully completed GTK’s two-year program were officially welcomed into the alumni community. The end of the semester also marked a leadership transition: following the tenure of Evelin Székely, Tamás Zoványi will assume leadership of both GTK and the Antal Zsolt Foundation.

The evening concluded with a shared dinner, where students, coordinators, alumni members, supporters, and professional partners had the opportunity to continue their conversations in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The presentation was hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Babeș-Bolyai University. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the opportunity, as well as to all our supporters, guest speakers, coordinators, alumni members, and partners for their invaluable support throughout the second semester.

Special thanks go to East Grain for its professional and financial support provided through our industry analysis partnership.
