Their experience report can be read here:

„Between 30-31 March 2023, we participated in the management shadowing programme at Bonafarm Group, as shadows of István Barok and Zselyke Demeter.

On the first day of the two-day programme, we had the opportunity to take a look at the more practical side of the company. We started our trip in the morning at the MCS slaughterhouse in Mohács, which was launched in 2017 and is primarily used to supply fresh pork to the country’s largest commercial chains. Here, we were given an insight into the entire meat processing process, from the slaughter pigs in the live-animal arrival area to the freshly packaged meat products being ready for shipment. Our second stop was the farm in Csípőtelek, where some of the milk for Sole-Mizo products comes from. The farm itself is the largest cow farm in the region, with 3000 cows. Here we were able to see how the group’s colleagues keep the cows and how the milking process is carried out. Our third attraction on this day was the premises of Csányi Winery Zrt, also part of the group, where we were told about the history and operation of the winery.

The second day was spent at the offices of the Bonafarm Group, where we spent the day with the business development team led by István Barok.  Here we were mainly introduced to the history of the group, the important events in the group’s life and the current situation, how it actually operates and what impact it currently has on the Hungarian market. We ended the day with a very interesting end-of-week meeting where the business development team discussed the week’s recent events.

All in all, we gained a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge and we thank the team for all the useful information, knowledge and patience they provided us with.”
