GTK members participated in a psychology training series

During the second semester, GTK members had the opportunity to participate in a two-part psychology training series led by psychologist and trainer András Maluczán. The sessions focused on mental health, self-awareness, and the practical understanding of fundamental psychological concepts, addressing topics that play an important role both in everyday life and in community work.

The first session focused on stress management and burnout. Participants discussed the differences between everyday stress and chronic burnout, the most common warning signs, and the ways team members can support one another in coping with challenges. In smaller groups, participants analyzed different personality types and worked together to identify possible solutions to the specific difficulties and stress factors associated with each character type.

The second session provided insight into the field of clinical psychology. Participants became familiar with the diagnostic frameworks of mental disorders, with special attention given to Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression, and schizophrenia. The training offered a deeper understanding not only of the symptoms and diagnostic criteria of these conditions, but also of their impact on individuals’ daily lives and social functioning.

The training series provided valuable professional and personal experience for all participants while also highlighting the importance of maintaining mental health and supporting one another within a community.

We would like to thank András Maluczán for the insightful, practical, and thought-provoking training sessions!
