Members of GTK participate in the training held by the Romanian Raiffeisen Bank’s investment director

On December 8th 2015 GTK Business Consulting Club members participated in the training held by the investment director of Raiffeisen Bank, Răzvan Szilágyi. Our guest attended concerns regarding two major subjects: the specialist-client relationship and the function of  investment funds.

The specialist-client relation was approached from both the client’s and the specialist’sperspective. The presenter started off by mentioning some technical expressions, which are needed to be explained to the clients, like dispersion, VaR, yield, interest, expected loss, risk. After that he turned to  the client’s point of view and enumerated his/her possible goals and expectations for the bank and the employees.

The training continued with the review of investment funds. Participants could learn that some people contribute money to a joint fund, which is going to be invested by the bank on the capital market or somewhere else. The bank assesses the clients’ risk factors by using 1-5Likert scale based questionnaires, this way selecting the best alternative for him/her.According to Răzvan Szilágyi an investment fund is considered bad when nobody will place money in it and it is possible for a portfolio to be lossmaking, since it is very difficult to predict accurately future exchange rates due to unforeseen events.

At the end of the training our presenter shared some details about the Raiffeisen Bank’s strategy in the investment funds area and highlighted that financial education is the most important element in the financial sectorin order to build up the trust of clients and to earn new customers.
