Two GTK Business Consulting Club teams qualified for the final of the international case competition in Toronto
Two GTK Business Consulting Club teams qualified for the final of the international case competition in Toronto.
Following a global qualifier, both teams representing the GTK Business Consulting Club made it to the TOP 10 finals of a business case competition organized by the Rotman Commerce Entrepreneurship Organization within the University of Toronto, Canada. As a result, the two teams from Cluj will have the opportunity to compete with students from universities such as Johns Hopkins University, Western University, the University of Waterloo, or the host University of Toronto in the finals to be held in Toronto in January 2022. The final competition has a total prize of $ 5,000.
The qualifying round of the case study competition took place between October 16-24, 2021. The 17 university teams participating in the competition had to develop solutions for T&T’s Asian-based Canadian chain, presenting them online to a jury of representatives from the company and the host university. Following the presentation, students were also able to participate in the workshop of the co-founder of the software development company based on artificial intelligence at Wombo.ai. Based on the submitted works and the presentation of the solution, both teams from GTK Business Consulting Club successfully qualified among the finalist teams.
The finalist teams representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration within Babeş-Bolyai University, respectively the GTK Business Consulting Club:
- Team Phoenix: Beáta Evelin Székely (Business Informatics, 2nd year), Noémi Székely (Management, 2nd year), Péter Szekernyés (Finance and Banking, 2nd year) and Dóra Szőke (Management, 2nd year)
- Team UNIT – András Gergely Csenteri (Business Informatics, 3rd year), Ferenc Domokos (Management, 3rd year), Ákos György (Finance and Banking, 3rd year), Kende Pásztor (Management, 2nd year).
